  1. Looks good! Those must be one of the new rim options.. IMHO much nicer than the last passion rims.
  2. From the vid, I'm still glad I got black.. the new leather dash- and knee-board are much better looking than the fabric black/silver though.Really want that upgrade lol...
  3. +1I live literally 2 minutes away from the Surrey/Guildford dealership, and go to Richmond for all my services. I also purchased my car in Richmond, after waiting for 20 minutes for a sales rep who was not interested in the car.
  4. I much enjoy the sarcasm here! I don't usually get told about my car..However, the cyclist looks to be in the middle of a crosswalk in the picture. That could make it difficult for someone from the right to turn left.. but not entirely wrong still.I've seen so many "stupid" people riding their bikes into oncoming traffic in Vancouver, and they are primarily homeless. I recall one time I was driving through Pemberton, and there were people walking with traffic, and people biking against it. By "people" I mean many, not just one. We need more (un?)common sense in the world.Anyway.. I lol'ed.
  5. Looks like I might have to finally give up my blackberry!
  6. So far, I've had 1 A service and 1 B service, and they both cost me the same. $0.00.
  7. I've got a 451, but I like mine watching Trip L/100, Current L/100, Engine load (LOD), and Coolant Temperature (*cWT)I haven't seen the coolant temp get out of range, so I might get rid of it. The only thing keeping it there is the problems I had with my last car.. A coolant leak I didn't know about led to having a big paper-weight under my hood instead of an engine. I have since dropped a new engine in, and an analogue coolant temp sensor, and had no problems..........if that happened to my smartie, I don't know what I would do!
  8. I think you've quoted the source wrong.. unless this is related to Smart Car test drives set for Mardi Gras in Saratoga Springs..
  9. It is nice to know that there are people of reason and intellect out there.. I mean on this forum though, not the opinion based answers that Yahoo offers.I wish I could still answer this question..
  10. Indeed. I have looked over BC law, and it appears to be legal to have them disabled in foggy/misty weather, but haven't even found a place with the tools to. Many places flat out refused me, without even looking into whether they were able to or not. All I can say is good luck, and please let me know if you find a way to!My ideal scenario:Have headlights on for stalk positions 1 and 3, but have position 2 exclusively for fog lights, with the ability for held high-beams.
  11. Hey guys, I know someone has to have changed the cabin light (reading light?), so I am hoping someone can help me. I can't figure out how to get the light case off in order to change the bulb. I am going to be putting in an LED light, and the current one isn't burnt out, so it is not of high importance. Just a preference Any help appreciated!
  12. I will agree with that! I usually get 4.5-4.9 l/100 on my return trip (Van-Surrey), going 90-100 kph. Today I drove the same, but at 120-130 kph. My consumption was 5.4! It was definitely fun, and it didn't cost too much more to do it, but the risk of getting caught speeding or losing control because of a freak gust of wind is not worth it.I will continue to be patient, and allow extra time to get places.P.S. Monkii.. if you take out your rear-view mirror, no one will tail-gate you anymore.
  13. LOL! Any damage to the tridion and the car is only for parts in my opinion. Too bad it happened to such a young car..
  14. It is the same engine, but the tires are much wider on it. Front tires are 175/55 R 15; rear tires are 215/35 R 17, compared to Front: 155/60 R15; rear 175/55 R15 on the passion. On a side note, does anyone know the weight of the stock sets of rims? (For the pure, passion and Brabus?) That could be part of my fuel economy. I also make sure my tires are properly inflated every week or so (I got a spiffy new 12 volt tire inflator for Christmas!), which helps.
  15. Thanks! But to be honest, I was originally hoping for the same fuel consumption as the 450 diesels, and was disappointed when I couldn't get it. The only way I have been able to get that low is by using my Scangauge to learn the car. Driving proactively with that knowledge is the only way I was able to get my fuel consumption as low as it is, and I am still working at keeping it that low every day.
  16. Whoa! I am doing well then! I rarely get above 5.5 with a combo of highway and city! My average for the car is about 4.6 l/100, and I'm at about 13000 km's now. It's a gas Brabus too!One thing I have noticed is to let your car slow down on its own as much as possible. The ECU will cut fuel to the engine, giving you a distance which is free of gas. I do this mainly on turn-offs from the highway and when going downhill. You can try it in different situations as well, like when you have to stop for a red, and when you need to slow down because of traffic. Add that in to slowing down so you don't have to stop at red lights, and you can lower your l/100 substantially. It is very easy for me to get 4.2 l/100 when going from Surrey to Vancouver with that method.Just my $0.02 anyways.
  17. I have been looking at getting the Sprint Booster, but haven't been able to tell how it works. The only way that it makes sense to me is that it makes the car think the pedal is down further than it is.. which isn't too appealing for reliability. Anyone have some insight?
  18. Evilution is definitely one of the best online resources for us. If you haven't yet, I would suggest you take the time to explore it! There are many tips and tricks that could save you a lot of money on there. ...I think they like donations too
  19. Haha, Stephan was my salesman as well. By far one of the best sales people I have ever dealt with. Congratulations!
  20. I didn't see the anti-parking enforcement option in the brochure..
  21. I am currently looking to mount my laptop inside my car, like the police, between the two seats. I know people have been using their laptops for road trips in the smart, but I haven't heard any mention of a device to keep it in place. What I am looking to do is plug it into my AUX port, which would give access to 350GB of music instead of 8GB. I don't want to be downloading and transferring a bunch of songs to a device or CD every few days.Ideally, it would be swivel, so I can do homework in my car, as well as have my passenger DJ or look something up. I have my cell phone set up as a wireless router already, so if I can get this working, I would be a very happy person! So, I am wondering if there is a product out there specifically for the Smart Car for purchase, if there are any universal ones which people have tried, or if there is a way to have one manufactured.Any help is much appreciated!
  22. Cool, and your car is quite nice. Looks like you got tired of people asking you "Did you know Mercedes makes them?" as well.. Anyway, if you don't mind a copy-cat, could you please tell me where you got that symbol as well?
  23. Congrats! Have fun getting to know your new car!
