How old is the battery? Do you have a voltage meter to see if it is over 12.5 v dc?

The CDi was the reason I sought out the 2006/7 Smart I am driving now. If there will not be another then I will have to reconsider the next purchase. Like the diesel engine and think it is a better model than electric.Will of course keep HalfByte as long as possible on the road.

The lead vehicle was pushed a good 2 lengths into the right lane of traffic. Lucky that no one was hurt. Guess the second driver did not see the lead vehicle had not left the STOP sign to merge. At least no injury (except to both vehicles).

It is a Pulse, from reading the tag by the mirrors.Has only a few options, which is good thing for me. Need to get under to see if there is a block heater or not. There is the jack in front for the heater (lower driverside of front bumper with dirt cap), do not know if the option was installed or not.The one thing I am trying to figure out (not a bad thing) seems the Driver side has a heated seat. The 'problem' is there is no dash button. How the heck do I disable for the summer?

Have the 2006 CDi and will be keeping it until the next diesel is available (not the first batch of course). Then I will consider purchase of a 'backup' vehicle.Sold a 2001 Volvo S40 in late Oct for 1/10th what I paid for it. Was in excellent condition, body was like new and running well (if you think 10l/100KM city is good). Got tired of the dealer (had a problem beginning of the year and had to tell the mechanic what to swapout in order to fix it).Try to keep vehicles 8-10 years so auto companies do not like me.
