  1. Hi everyone, I'm having a little issue WITH my smart 451 pulse . Recently I went out on highway like 70km only , but once in The night I was back on my hood, I heard my brakes were slightly pressed on. it doesn't deccelerate the car too much to become an annoying issue, but I wanna Ensure what's happening before it's too late (expensive) to repair It.
  2. Would anyone know if it’s possible to adjust a smart car 451 brake pedal to make it lower as it’s too high ? Thanks Ammo
  3. My daughters 2006 Fortwo diesel has a lighting issue. Dash lights only come on after the brake pedal is depressed. Dash lights come on and at the same time radio lights dim. HELP!!
  4. The brake booster pump isn't coming on. I don't have power coming from fuse box to relay or to booster. Anybody have this issue before? 2014 Smart Fortwo Electric Drive
  5. Okay, so I’ve never made a post on any forum before but everyone in my life is so unhelpful so I desperately need some help or at least someone to point me in the right direction. I have a 2016 Smart ForTwo Gasoline and it’s brakes are SHOT. They’re grinding and it’s reverberating throughout my entire vehicle and they need to be fixed, like, yesterday. But nobody seems to care enough to give me ANY advice. I don’t know what I need, do I need just the pads or do I need everything? And if I buy the parts online, what do I buy? I don’t want to go to the dealership because quite frankly they are the absolute worst people that have ever existed and they suck, and they’ll charge me a dumb amount when I could get the same thing or better elsewhere. If I go to someone, who do I go to? I literally don’t know anything and I’m so frustrated because my brakes are sooooooooooo bad and nobody wants to help and I need help. Someone, anyone, please tell me what I’m supposed to do. Thanks, I’m so frustrated so I apologize if this doesn’t say as much as it should
  6. My '09 Passion Coupe has acquired an unusual brake squeal at low speed that appears to be coming from the front right, that only happens when I'm driving less than 20-25 MPH and does NOT occur when I actually APPLY the brakes. When I changed out the brake pads the first time, thinking they might have been worn because it had 65K miles, the pads were actually relatively new but I noticed that a millimeter of material on the outer edge had NOT been worn down, as though it was never in contact with the brake disc (I verified through multiple sites that the brake pads are supposed to fit the 451). More recently I took the Passion in for an overhaul after selling my late wife's Honda, part of which was supposedly replacing the discs and pads up front (they said the discs were corroded but the rear system was fine). For a few weeks there was no squeal but now it's back. Mechanic can't seem to figure it out. I'm wondering if the springs that come with the pads are not holding the pad down firmly enough to prevent the outer edge from protruding from the width of the disc when braking and if there is another unworn edge that might be riding the outer edge of the brake disc creating the squeal at low speed. Ideas?
  7. Hi Everyone, I have a really quick question. Im about to purchase a 1999 Smart ForTwo coupe from someone but i noticed the gear shift didn't have a park symbol. Also once pushed the card would roll on its own? Is there a way that I'm not aware of that the car is put in park other than pulling up the hand brake? They are telling me thats how its done. (Keep in mind they haven't had the car long either.) Thanks in advance for your help!
