  1. I've Bought recently an used Smart EQ Drive Passion Everything is going well and today I went to run a HV Battery Test at Mercedes. Why? Well, charging at night, the orange ring light led decreases. Then, after driving the car a few kilometers, those led turn on again. This only happens during or after charging in the night! This doesn't happen during the day. At Mercedes, nobody knows what this Led Ring means! Here are the photos. If someone could help, i'll aprreciate. Thanks in advance
  2. When our tail light failed I tried to replace them with an LED unit that ostensibly supported CANBus. Failed. Thanks for the no questions asked return Amazon. While I was at it though, I installed a set of cheap LED headlights. $40 for a pair. Working fine, whiter, and they seem a bit brighter. Quoted at 9600 lumens, but I'd guess more like 6500 because they don't seem to be that much stronger, and they are definitely not the blinding types you see on some cars. Installation was trivial, and the orientation was easy to adjust. Wattage is supposed to be 60W vs 110W for the OEM. So perhaps they will save us a tiny amount of drain. Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do about the rubber covers. Probably buy a second set and puncture them for the LED fans.
  3. So today I noticed one of my DRLs is not working. So what could be causing it? I’m quite far away from the nearest Smart Centre so I would like to try and fix it myself if it turns out to be an easy job. The car has only 15.000 kms/9.300 miles to the clock so I’ll be pretty annoyed if they just burned out. It’s a 3 year old 451 with factory fitted DRLs.
  4. I noticed that on my new ED, the LED DRLs in the lower grille positions turn off once the low beams are switched on. (And also that the low beams come on when you switch to the "parking lights" position. ) Is there a hidden setting somewhere that would allow the DRLs to remain on at all times? And to have the low beams NOT come on in the parking lights position? On my old 450, I used the grille lights as my DRLs, and I do prefer having lights on at all four corners, even during the day. So in a nutshell, here's what I want: Position 0 (light switch off) - LED DRLs on - Corner, Side Marker and Tail lights off - Low Beams off Position 1 (parking lights) - LED DRLs on - Corner, Side Marker and Tail lights on - Low Beams off Position 2 (headlights on) - LED DRLs on - Corner, Side Marker and Tail lights on - Low Beams on Is this possible without getting into extensive re-wiring?
