Hello all, I am actually in the US, right across from Windsor, ON. There are not that many smarts around here, certainly it seems that you have more! I now own two smart cas, both are009 year 451 Passion coupes. The first I got for $1.00 from a man who wanted to punish his son for abusing the car and constantly running out of gas. I have drained and cleaned the tank, replaced the oil, battery, plugs and she starts well! What I need to do: 1. Replace the exhaust: it was the standard one and I am looking for a replacement, new or used. These have side exhaust pipes 2. Check over brakes and brake systems 3. Replace the coolant and gearbox fluid, would love recommendations 4. The car is all black and I need a driver's side black fender, which are color-impregnated, not painted per se. 5. I also want to add a trailer hitch as a way to add a spare tire carrier on the back. I am a retired diesel mechanic and have started getting documentation. I worked for MB and Chrysler and have written service manuals as well. I just need info and some sources.to make this a running car without any issues. It looks so nice that I may not drive it until April! The second car has been more seriously damaged since the timing belt broke, with unknown damage. That will require some engine surgery! or a transplant. I would also like to get a new or used STAR machine a real on, if possible. Can send money to Canada via bank or PayPal. Please first let me apologize for not know for sure where this belongs. If anyone can move it or tell me where to repost it I'll gladly do so. I just had the summer tires and rims stolen from my yard and I strongly suspect it was a to-order job The tires were contis mounted on passion alloy rims with Ride-on TPS fluid in them, an orange slime looking material. No tire shop will touch them because of the fluid, and only smart cars can use those rims. So either the theives are very very stupid or they were going after me because they knew I had a smart car and they had an order for tires. I am in Saskatoon. The car these are destined for could be anywhere from davidson to prince albert. So while they're rare here, especailly the 450 models, it's still a huge market if it's to order parts! If you know of anything I can share with the police please PM me. I'll be keeping this open in a browser window for the next couple of weeks. Thank you. It's a terribly insecure feeling to know someone's got their sights on your baby.

Looking for a set of used steel rims (or alloys for the right price) for a Gen2 gasser; with or without winter rubber on them. -
I have a set of 16" extra wide rims for sale made by the British company "Team Dynamics" with a brand new set of Yokohama S-Drive performance tires. The whole set is in really excellent condition. There are no scratches on the exterior faces of the rims; there are some marks on the interior from weights, fitting tires, and general use. Again the tires are brand new, mounted, balanced, and never driven. The rears fit tires 215mm wide, the fronts are 195mm wide. Wearing these wheels on my smart was one of the best changes I ever made to the car: the handling, stability, and ride were vastly improved. Note that the old set of tires is pictured. I'll sell them to you mounted, balanced, and 100% ready to put on your car. These rims will need 30mm spacers on the 450 which I also have on offer; excellent quality German-made product. I imported these to Canada, despite loving the wheels it was the worst transaction of my life. At the time I would have loved to have found a set in Canada that I could have picked up used, so this is YOUR chance to skip a nasty import. Pickup/drop off in KW area, GTA, Niagara; arrangements negotiable.

I have a set of barely used ContiWinterContact tires, approx 500km on them before my Turbo died last winter. Mounted on an old set of Smart Fortwo winter rims.
