  1. This blog to be referred to once you have properly diagnosed a faulty crankshaft sensor (2005 - 2006 smart cdi) model only. Follow the diagrams. Note it was not an easy task but "NOTHING" else was needed to be removed in order to replace the crankshaft sensor. A good flash light is a must. You will also need to raise the rear of the vehicle to gain access from the bottom. (If you are a shop and have a lift it will simplify things)
  2. Hi everyone, I just want to let you know guys, that if you dont already have your sd navigation card, you can get it on this ebay link for low cost and perfectly working condition. I get mine and it works perfectly ! https://www.cafr.ebay.ca/itm/124329872483
  3. Hi all I have just joined this group. My Smart Fortwo is making loud rattling noise and appears to be coming from the rear end. Halford could not identify it and another local garage also could not. So I took it to an HiQ dealer on Forest Road, Romford. They specialise in high end Germen cars but listed for Smart car repairs. They said it is the flywheel that is making the noise and will cost me in the range of £600-£1200 depending upon if it is just the flywheel, or whether the clutch will need to be changed and also clutch actuator. they said they cannot tell until they take it apart. this is quite expensive. Any advise please? i live in Ilford, Essex. Many thanks in advance

  6. Mechanic recently told us we need to change our parking neutral safety switch on our 2013 Smart Fortwo, but for some reason we can’t find the part anywhere online. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
