Hi there! This will be my first winter with my 2005 diesel smart car. It's been extremely cold these past few days and my car has not been able to start. I was told that leaving it plugged in for an hour in the morning before work using the block heater would help. I got the car used and unfortunately I don't really know much about cars although I'm eager to learn. There's what I'm assuming is the converter on the left front of the car, I was told the block heater was sold separately and directly from Mercedes-Benz. If anyone could provide some insight on this (ie. pictures of what either would look like?) or provide feedback on how they keep their cars going in the winter it would be much appreciated!! Audrey -
Mechanic recently told us we need to change our parking neutral safety switch on our 2013 Smart Fortwo, but for some reason we can’t find the part anywhere online. Can anyone point me in the right direction? -
Okay, so I’ve never made a post on any forum before but everyone in my life is so unhelpful so I desperately need some help or at least someone to point me in the right direction. I have a 2016 Smart ForTwo Gasoline and it’s brakes are SHOT. They’re grinding and it’s reverberating throughout my entire vehicle and they need to be fixed, like, yesterday. But nobody seems to care enough to give me ANY advice. I don’t know what I need, do I need just the pads or do I need everything? And if I buy the parts online, what do I buy? I don’t want to go to the dealership because quite frankly they are the absolute worst people that have ever existed and they suck, and they’ll charge me a dumb amount when I could get the same thing or better elsewhere. If I go to someone, who do I go to? I literally don’t know anything and I’m so frustrated because my brakes are sooooooooooo bad and nobody wants to help and I need help. Someone, anyone, please tell me what I’m supposed to do. Thanks, I’m so frustrated so I apologize if this doesn’t say as much as it should
