Possibly the smarts were delayed due to the strike.I kept on trying to see if my serial number was on board via the 2W site, but, no such luck as yet! It was, supposedly, "produced, not shipped" on October 9. so, why not ship it? Don't they want to get rid of their stock?All I can figure is "MB / smart work in mysterious ways".Hopeful for my smartie on the next ship, the Faust, leaving Bremerhaven on the 25th.Jorn. Quote

ged Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Drove past the Autoport today and saw a whole slew of smarts parked in the area where I assume they do the Canadianization of them. There were only 3 colors; yellow, blue and silver, and no black tridions. I couldn't count them all because my view was partially blocked but there were a lot of them. Quote

I SURE will!Jorn.UPDATE: The 'salesperson' is really cooperative but .... it seems that the communications between the local dealer and the smart plant in France are non-existent. The dealer has already, last week, put in a request in for 'expediting', but apparently without much result.Reluctantly, we'll delay our trip South for another week expecting 'expedited delivery' and shipping on the next ship, the Fidelio (1/11 - 11/11/07) - and hoping that the weather will cooperate. We have the trailer ready for towing the smart 'off the ground'. If we had not yet bought the trailer, we would tell the dealer to go fish and start all over, with another dealer, next spring.Jorn.
