Hello People!

I will spell out what I feel is needed to get the ball rolling.

Here is what I see for Club Smart Car.

I see the forums being administrated/moderated (not that much should be needed, just general cleanup) by a small group of ELECTED members from the member pool. This way people are looked after by their fellow smarties.

What do you guys think of this approach?

Plus then I can get some administration help with these forums while I work on the main site!

So please tell me who is interested in helping out. We also accept nominations!

It would probably work pretty good. I am on this site daily, and have seen some useless posts (ie. spam) or double posts which could be removed.A set of guidelines for these people should be established though, such as what is considered tolerable, and what should be deleted straight away.At any rate, I would be interested in helping out.

As long as there were a set of guidelines, as well as a mechanisim for mods to move 'inappropriate' threads to a mod only forum in case someone calls into question the mods action. (Basically a recycle bin.)Inappropritae posts/dupes etc. could be handled with the mods own judgement, and if there was a complaint about the mod, what the process would be for that etc.For the most part however, we're all adults, (99% of us are at least 16. :cheeky:) and as long as the mods behave in such a way then there should be no issues. And I'm totally interested in helping out and giving something back to the people from this forum.

I'd just like to point out that TFM's thread was from over a year ago, and the Board of Directors election happened in May 2006 I think.....We did review moderators and appoint some new ones in June of this year. However, there is definitely room for improvement and with our continuing growth, we may need a few more moderators to help keep some of the spam and general disorganisation at bay. We will discuss these isues at an upcoming BoD meeting.Cheers and thanks for your input.Mike TCsC president
