Well, I made some eyelashes for my smart today and they were certainly a big hit! Made them out of black chenille pipe cleaners, took the front off the car to fit the bottom section I had attached them to under the lip above the headlight hole and put front back on. They are a 3D eyelash section coming up from the headlights. We went to Marina Grill for dinner with friends and it was parked near the entrance. Had a great laugh as so many stopped to look and 3 different groups took pictures of it. Who knows where those photos will show up! Certainly the only smart on the North Shore of Vancouver (if not anywere) with full false eyelashes 6 inches long!I will try to get my own photo of them to post soon for any one who is interested :D .

Hey Nexttourer, GMP - Great Machine Parts? Ha! My MDX has vanity plates (LUV ART)so am thinking of some for my little one. Maybe Little 1? Too bad I can't stick an SM in front of the ART! :D

Well that's better than what others came up with... gimped =(.hmmm.... NOT M N M ? haha. I think every smart owner should put an empty box of smarties on the dash hahaha (or full if they wish but it might melt).hmm... what other ideas? LITTLE 1 sounds good and I don't think it's taken. SMRT ART? ROUGE?ELLE?

Then we could sell Smarties to the Americans.

It's quite easy - you just need a small right angle lip at the "gum" edge for the teeth. Then secure them with double-sided trim tape.

 Those are great! Very original.I want to figure out how to do teeth.

First you find yourself a "Smart" dentist, then you add good dental plan to your insurance!I'm thinking of making one of them "gold".... ;) cheers, CG

What are they made out of plastic or foam? I was thinking of using that thin foam that you can get from Michaels and making them from that. I was thinking doing something like gent's avatar, but more canine in appearance and maybe with a slight over bite. Then a studded hood/bra from marine grade vinyl, with a backing of course to prevent and scratches. Let Spike live up to his name....:evil:

I made them using corrugated plastic (trade name Coroplast) and the have been through at least 30 car washes without any problem. You could use foam core plastic as well but I don't know the durability of it. I attached them with tie-raps. My biggest concern was the potential for air blockage during the summer months with the AC on however, I was in +31 heat last weekend with the AC on full time and my scangauge didn't show any problem with engine temp. It does get up to about 215 F when sitting idling at a stop light and the fan cuts in to bring it down quickly.

Snow Dogs I love it. Can't you just see the line up with you, gent, me and Calgary guy! It is always possible that someone might start looking for a group rate on a doctor for us though..... :o

My "parking karma" has been working. Parked right in front of the front door at the Keg in West Vancouver for dinner on the weekend. From our table on the patio I could just see my baby but my husband had a better view. All through dinner he kept me up to date with "there's another crowd around your car" at least a dozen times and "someone else taking photos". Ha! I am sure that my babe is the most photo-graphed smart on the North Shore!

Wow, smarts are common there, so it must be the new body style that has people looking!

Ha Ha! No, definitely the eyelashes. I had to straighten them (comb them) when we came out as many where obviously "fingering" them. :D PS. Rain does not affect them at all (had some over the past few days) so I think hand washing car should be fine.
