Kitty Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 Hi Kitty, have you thought about putting a yellow film on the lens instead of painting the inside? It is a popular mod in the Tuner car scene. If you want more info you can contact me at stevejones@bugnbots.com I am just in Brampton so it is easy to help you out.I had thought about that first, before I heard of this casing mod, but I don't really want the light from the headlights to be yellow (I think it looks funny on other cars when driving on the highway at night), I just want my car to have yellow "eyes" Quote
Francesco Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 IMO I'd get tired of that fairly soon, so I'd rather paint them either the flat black/smoke colour, or the same as the panels. Code paint is available from better auto-parts stores in shaker cans (my local CarQuest has smart code paint). Quote
yolanda Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 BMW Started the Angel Eye Craze. They are illuminated rings around the headlights. On my SMART they will be around my turn signals. Oh and mine will be blue instead of the standard white.Cheers,Steve JonesAre blue lights legal where you live? Around here, and nearly every province (or all) in canada so far as I know, and a lot of american states, they're not legal, reserved strictly for police and emergency/service vehicles. Better check before you spend the bux. Quote
BitBot Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Blue Lights are reserved for emergency road vehicles, having said that my Angel Eyes will be on a switch so they can be turned off in case the police want to give me a hard time. I have blue under lighting and blue in the light assemblies all ready and have not had any problems butI keep them on switches in case. Here is a picture of the first fitting of the Angel Eyes.Cheers,Steve Jones Quote
Overkll Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Those look great! How-to will be forthcoming ... BitBot Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 A how to will be difficult but I will be setting up to do this for people if they send me their headlight casings or bring their car into my shop for the day. I will be able to paint whatever colour of the customers choosing and install Angel Eyes with whatever colour the customer wants may also be able to do dual colour (ie blue, White) and enable the white to be daytime running lights.Cheers,Steve Jones Quote
