any 'new' 450's left?

(admin: move topic if appropriate)Just curious, what are the chances of finding a new 450 on a dealer lot somewhere?Would local dealer have any method of finding out electronically, or just tedious telephone work as I could do?cheers

I doubt it; the last new ones were probably sold in very late 2007 and the first month or two of 2008. There were about 20 left at the end of 2007.

I seem to remember reading a thread during the summer that indicated that there were 2 or 3 new diesel smarts left in Canada at that point. Safe to assume that those are gone now.garth

There is also a green on black trade-in at Star Motors in Ottawa. No idea what price they are asking for it, or what the mileage is on it.

When I bought my used 450 this spring, I called Saskatoons dealer the day after they sold the last new 450 on the prairies. It was a night run to boot. So no need calling MB SK or AB dealers. Good luck in your search

CDI PASSION COUPE, PHAT RED,BUNGEE RED INTERIORLESS THAN 200 KILO'S !!! sound package,clock/rev counter,cup holder etc. asking $18500.00, OBO they said' last brand new diesel smart car available' or somthing like that. the phone number was 780-439-0341 and to keep trying number. For your info, if you havn't found a smart car yet.

TriStar Mercedes (Saint John, NB) had three (3) new 2006s in stock during this fall. Give Tim Clark a call at 1-888-992-7827 and he can tell you if they still have any left. These smarts were being advertised as being eligible for the $2000 gov rebate.

the govt rebate must be a provincial one as the Feds eco-rebate only applied to 2008 models and it ended Dec 31/08.

The Federal Rebate did apply to the 2006 but it had to purchased after a certain date; I can't remember what the date is. I bought a 2006 but since I took delivery in 2005 I was not eligible. I did know that the rebate was finished.

I was just doing a 'browse' on www.driving.ca. There's 3 cdi smarts in Alberta with under 2500 kms, including one at each Edmonton dealer.....might be a new/demo in there.
