deezle Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Where does GM find these guys? Do the 'qualifications' for top management positions mention 'tendency towards lunacy'? Their CEO was recently quoted as saying in a speech that the Toyota Prius is a geekmobile that he wouldn't be caught dead in. I can certainly understand his apprehension that the new Volt won't measure up when prices, performance and fuel economy are considered ---- but why would a CEO make such outlandish remarks in public? Go figure. more Quote
MikeT Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 If he was selling Toyotas, I would be worried. I think that characterization is not charitable, but is fairly widely held among the masses, just like smart is a clown car for nerds and old Mercedes diesels are only bought by people who don't bathe often enough Quote

(sniffs armpits) But it's still fun to take shots at the messenger, especially when they're paid 7 figure salaries to deliver the news to the ignorant masses. Quote
Speedie Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Yep and GM brought us the Hummer and Hummer2 and 3 - for all those that needed a penile prosthetic along with the Corvette LOL Stands to figure the leader of the company is also a supporter of the concept. Cheers,Cameron Quote
