ishkabibble Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Can someone suggest some small, simple, inexpensive speakers I can install in the back of Elsie? I'm not interested in booming down the road. just want 'sound around' - or am I supposed to say surround sound? Ish. Quote
pinhead19 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 It is a scary task to take a knife to the rear tailgate, but if you can do it you will get all the benefits of great sounds without loosing any space.I put Alpine Type S 6x9's in my tailgate and have never once regretted it.The wires can easily be run through a grommet on the left hand side under the carpet into the rear hatch.*The speakers have to be reasonably low profile. Mike T and bilgladstone are both excellent speakers, but they're likely not small enough to fit in the back of your car. They also would not likely be inexpensive (OK --- Bil might be) ---- but that might also depend on what you wanted them to speak about. Come to think of it, they're actually not simple either, so probably just cross them off your list. Edited July 21, 2011 by deezle Quote
bilgladstone Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 I am not expensive. In fact, I'm quite cheap Quote
