DrivenAudio
Hi all, Thought I would share this with you here, we did an upgrade in Abbotsford (approx 1 hour from Vancouver) on a Smart Car radio for a client. There is not much available for these cars so we made a custom trim bezel and made the new radio look right at home in the dash. The trim was painted to match the dash top as we could not get a great match to the blue dash of the Smart. (PS I posted this in Vancouver as we only do mods in our local area - Mods move it if you like). What do you think?Tony Dehnke
MikeT
Looks good, I am going to move it to the modifications forum though.
pinhead19
GD that looks good. What (how) did you make the trim piece out of?
stickman007
Did you have to support the radio at the back?
DrivenAudio
The trim is made from the aftermarket radio trim, ABS, Body filler, CA Glue, primer, paint etc. They do take some time to make as they are custom :)The unit is mounted in the cage so extra support at the rear is not mandatory, just depends on the level sturdiness of install you want.Glad you guys like it. I attached another pic of it.
