Fuel Consumtion

Hi, just bought a used 2006 Smart Passion, reading some others owners L/100k, so far i am getting 4.0-4.9 L/100k, any suggestions???

4-5L/100km is in the norm. I commonly get between 400-530km to the tank depending on how its driven and the conditions.

That range is perfectly fine for winter. Assuming here has a real winter!

Try running it at 90km/h or less, keeping it around 2000rpm, manually shift. I like keeping the consumption as close to 3L as possible, running down the highway at 100+ hurts very much, infact so much it pretty much is a wash between our Jetta tdi and the smart. However slowing down and early shifts beat it a good amount, nearly half the consumption of the Jetta. Netting under 5 is still respectable
