Diesel01
Hi Willys. Thanks. I did not know how to pm somebody, but I figured it out Edited May 5, 2022 by Diesel01
SHAWN450
Can't you just block off the 2 bolt turbo flange that you remove from the egr? Wouldn't that serve the same purpose , rather that trying to reconnect all that piping?

All that piping for the heater manifold can go....yes block off the 2 bolt flange as he shows, unless you are speaking of something else...? Like I said somewhere else I weld that flange up, for me easier that making that block off plate...lol. IF, you are not happy with result or the car isn't happy, you can always simply zip tie the old cleaned up version and plug it in as it was before, to check if it runs any differently. IZZY makes a first class product and stands behind his workmanship...always happy to help from what I have experienced. Just a good guy. OK, where's my advertising cut...?...lol. The hardest part of this job is getting the damned EGR hidden bolt out in the first place...lol. I ended up bending up a new wrench just for the job...lol. Oh and don't forget to burp out the air from the cooling system at the thermostat.
SHAWN450
Yes the long turbo pipe that runs to the egr with the horrible E8 torx bolts. But I won't be removing the pipe. Just block it off where it stands. I can't get to the other end without removing the turbo. Unfortunately I'm alone and don't have time for that. I'll probably chisel off the bolt head and get new bolts and use a block plate. 😀 I kinda need this car to be operational in a few days.
