smartnhappy Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Steve Plunkett has just announced that this year’s FLEETWOOD COUNTRY CRUIZE-IN car show held annually on his estate will be the last one. Seems he wants to change direction with his personal car collection, which is truely world class. His charitable success over the years has been fabulous. The show has become recognized as one of the premier North American auto events, attracting 2,000 to 3,000 cars to the 2 day display. This is sadly the end of an era as far as area car lovers are concerned. I’ll certainly be attending the car shown on one of the days. Information is that tickets for the dinner as well as the show are sold out. I’ll post if I find ticket still available, in case any local folks want to go. Just to say you were in the largest temporary tent in North America might be worth the bragging rights. I’ve attached the local newspaper article about Steve Plunkett and his decision, along with the 2019 event website. http://fleetwoodcountrycruizein.com/ https://lfpress.com/news/local-news/weekends-country-cruize-in-fundraiser-will-be-the-last Quote
