stickman007 Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 (edited) There seems to be a lot of confusing and misleading info online with regards to coding the 451 Fobs. Some say that they fobs have to be virgin, other say that you’ll need a “master” key...etc. Heres my experience with coding. 1) My fobs were from aliexpress. The version of Xentry/DAS that I used was 11.2012, and the car was my 2013 Passion. 2) I was able to confirm in DAS that my only fob that came with the car was a “spare.” 3) Following the key teach-in procedure, I was not able to code the new key initially. However the program was able to tell that the key has not been previously paired. It basically says that this key does not qualify, but try with your original. 4) I then tried to re-program my original “spare” key. It successfully programmed but it also asked at the bottom if you wish to code another one. 5) I followed the instructions after clicking yes. Success after cycling ignition as instructed! A max of 6 fobs is possible according to the info during the programming. Now I’m just waiting for the locksmith to cut the sidewinder grooves and It’ll be all done. Izzy As per usual, use this info at your own risk. Edited June 4, 2021 by stickman007 Quote
