Starting a new thread about it will not make it get solved more quickly. It only serves to make it more difficult for the next person looking to solve a problem.

Does it rev?

stick an ad on kijiji looking for someone local who is familiar with working on these cars

or maybe look around your local malls and when you see a smart car greet the owner and ask them who does their repairs

I agree with the above statement, that starting a second thread will not help as you will just duplicate questions and only get answers on one thread and not the other as it's a pain to answer things twice so to speak.  No offense intended.
Just bump your first thread as it's further along and has far more information already there.  Keep it going  imho.
I also agree with above by saying you sound like you need someone who knows these cars well with the necessary tools to get the job done of diagnosing the issues.  That will require funds unfortunately....?  That is also up to you.  Again please use the first thread as it's a pain to answer both, I'll stick to the first one from now on. Sorry.
