Help Troubleshoot My Car P0086 Code

2014 Smart 451 gas engine with 40k miles. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot a P0886 code (Relay N10/10k9). Problem described below.

1. sometimes when I turn key to start. silence. electrical seems strong. car sometimes won't start for ten minutes while I try this and then suddenly starts like everything is totally fine.

2. car got stuck in 2nd gear. would not shift out and I stalled out at light. then tried to start and car would not start for ten minutes (as described above)

3. I am getting a P0886 code. Relay N19/10k9 (automated manual transmission relay) Does Not Switch Code on my code reader

4. Battery voltage seems fine, alternator works, there's no water on the module under the driver seat carpeting.
