NeilPuddy
Hi all. After help again please! I have a 2010 for two cdi that has developed 2 fault codes- P0190 and P0193 indicating a fuel pressure issue. Have replaced the easier stuff first like fuel filter and fuel rail pressure sensor but the fault is still there. The car drives but a bit sluggish on acceleration and definitely no kick down acceleration. I can clear the fault codes but after a couple of runs the fault is back. Wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this and if any suggestions as to what it could be. Next for me I’m thinking is the fuel pressure regulator. Also has anyone taken a pressure reading off the fuel rail and what pressure should you be getting if the system is working normally? Thanks for any assistance. Mjolinor
It sounds like it is probably a wiring fault to the pressure sensor. If you have a Star diagnostics or a Delphi you can get data for the actual pressure.
Willys
Just curious, is the car smoking in any way, over fueling or simply not getting enough fuel? Whitish eye burning smoke or black clouds when shifting...?
NeilPuddy
Nope no smoke at all. No smell of fuel in the engine . Definitely a bit rough running. Am going to change the fuel pressure regulator next. Have ordered one today as unlike when it goes into limp mode for other faults and the speed is limited with this it will continue up to motorway speeds but just takes longer to get there.
