Radio overheating?

I have a 2013 Smart with a Highline radio c/w the nav and CD player.  Recently the radio has been turning itself off then back on all by itself.  It seems to happen only on hot days so I suspect it is turning off when it overheats then back on when it cools down.  Anyone have any insight?  I'd love to be able to fix it but perhaps the only solution is to find a replacement?  Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know but it sounds like you are on the right track....I have a radio in my van that does the same thing almost, works great then simply stops working until I take fuse out and put it straight back in, nothing wrong with fuse....enough to drive you to drink!

I had the exact same issue with my 2013 nav radio, it started off randomly and sporadic. Then was more consistent.  I ended up putting an aftermarket radio in it.
