Nigel Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Thanks to all the people that are making this happen. Quote
1983JZR3W Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Thanks to everyone for updating the site. I have been a member since 2006 and this is the first time I have been able to log in for over a month. I am a happy camper. Quote
Willys Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Thanks to the folks behind the scenes to make this possible.....I was very worried that if this hadn't happened the site was doing the way of the DO-DO.....unfortunately. Things seem faster and crisper. I can live with a few adds to generate some most useful funds to keep the site alive. Christ if anyone can operate on FB or YouTube you can deal with a few adds here also....imho. Again a big thanks to those who spent their hard earned time to get this done....hip hip..... I have noticed I'm still a newbie....lol. Quote

But in reality, it might take 15 people throwing in $25 each to cover us for a year... so prepare for that "huge" ask.... We have some lump sum costs incurred and pending right now. I’m in for $25 if you need it. The site has saved me that many times over throughout the years. Nigel Quote

Willys Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 I too will help fill the hat when the time comes.....as stated above, this site has saved me many times what you suggested....and I will argue it has saved almost everyone who joins the site the same... Quote

mas Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Hello, just a note, I've noticed that the speed once I click a topic, has slowed down in the past few weeks, similar to the speeds we had prior to getting the new web host. any comment? Also this morning I got a 503 error when trying to get into my mail. later, mas Quote
Willys Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 I also have had the 503 message which kicks me out and I have to re-open the site....? Hope this is just a glitch and nothing major..? Quote
MikeT Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Same, super slow to load (think 1998 dial up) and 503 errors. Last week, at least, This AM it's fine. Quote
