Toxophilite Posted March 30, 2025 Posted March 30, 2025 The brakes, not me so much these days. 2005 Smart fortwo 'convertible' I just redid my front end and resolved lots of stuff. At teh same times as all the other issues I had noticed that coming down the very steep and windy road to my place that my brakes felt like I had to apply a LOt of pressure on them and they were less effective. As half the road is basically downhill I sometimes coast it in neutral. After I redid my front end I bled the front brakes too and they felt better, However coning down the hill I noticed they still felt high etc. BY way of experiment I put the car in gear and lo and behold they felt better. Do I have power brakes? I recently checked by my battery and while there is a little silver pod attached to the fireway on the passenger side right abovethe battery it doesn't look like the ones I've seen in pictures. Haven't checked my rear brakes lately so they might need tending to Quote
