Captain No Beard Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 The rumours are true... Captain No Beard and the Wench will be sailing the Lake Melville region under new colours... Grandstyle Green... We'll find out tomorrow what the details are! Now that it's (semi)official we can introduce ourselves... Captain No Beard is an Air Traffic Controller at Goose Bay airport, Formerly a commercial printer, and before that a theater electrician. the Wench is a semi-retired homeschooling teacher (one in University, one getting close to it, hence semi-retired) Avid Geocachers, originally from Vancouver Island but now Right Coasters. We're very much looking forward to our Grandstyle Coupe and thanks to all the support from the board answering all our many questions, I expect there'll be more to come! NB & tW Quote

ValgardForkbeard Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 The term "wench" started out as a professional designation, much like "waitress". It only started having negative conatations in the last 100 years or so. Have fun with your car, and keep us all up to date with it. MG Quote

Captain No Beard Posted May 10, 2006 Author Posted May 10, 2006 Congratulations to the Wench! I'm retired myself - or is it a permanent sabbatical?? Welcome to the board. It's nice to see people from Newfoundland and Labrador!! If she has her way. it's permanent!! She's been homeschooling the kids for a long time now, and now that the 16 y/o is in 2nd yr university and the 14 y/o will be ready for university in a year or two, she's calling herself semi-retired, on the road to retirement. Got tired of explaining to people that it really was a job, and that she's quite happy to skiing all winter and gardening all summer now. NB Quote

Molly Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Mike are you keeping track of where the GS's are? You know 22 is Molly in Victoria, 35 is Poodleboy in Victoria, 23 is I M Smart in Campbell River and 73 is in Goose Bay. We also know 1 and 200 belong to MB. Where are the other 194. Can we maybe open a thread where the owners of the other GS can post where they are located? Would be interesting to know where the Grandstyles are. Elaine Quote
MikeT Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 here it is. Some people want privacy and others don't, so we've limited the location information to province. I have the other details in the VIN registry (names, locations, etc). I saw two grandstyles today - one new one being driven by a guy in a hat (couldn't get the numbers) and another new one at TPM.
