Mouseover Load E-Stop

This is the weirdest thing, and I've never seen it occur on any other webpage except this one.When clicking a topic from, say, the main page, I have got to keep my mouse perfectly still over top of the link, otherwise it'll stop loading. For example, if I click "General Discussion" and then move my mouse pointer away to do something else - the instant the mouse cursor leaves the word "General Discussion" and the cell de-highlights (you know how the whole row "highlights" when you mouse-over it?), bam - it just puts on the brakes right there.What confuses me is it doesn't do this at home - and I have a very crappy computer and the load times are blazing fast there. Here at work, I have a kick-ass system, we have some massive high-speed line coming in for our internet.... and yet each time I click a link, it takes like a minute to load up (if I'm lucky and it doesn't freeze up).I'm scratching my head because I thought I was a pretty seasoned internet user who knew most of the tips and tricks to get around little things... but I've never seen something like this occur before. Just wondering if anyone had any idea what could possibly be up?-Iain

Hmm...Switching to the "subRebel" style seems to help. It doesn' have mouseover highlighting on the forum topics pages, so that issue goes away. Weird!-Iain

Apparently it also causes multi posts and self-answering! :cheeky:What browser are you using? does it do it every time? have you shut the browser and then restarted the page or anything like that? Or even a CPU reboot?S

Mine was doing the same thing. I changed to do the subRebel view and that corrected the problem. I am using IE.

Yes I rebooted obviously, it's been doing this for quite some time now... using IE as well version 6.0.

Going to the subrebel has fixed the problem for me.

IainAny chance you are using a proxy cache server at work? What is the traffic like on the LAN in the office? Are people using a lot of large apps, lots of large data flow... graphics, CAD files...? I doesn't sound like you are limited by your machine or high-speed line coming in could just be the connection between your PC (or MAC) and the internet. Where or where is the funnel the smallest.hb

But I don't get why moving my mouse away from the text would have anything to do wtih our server flow... yeah we do everything CAD-wise off the server but...-Iain
