smart65 Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 RETIRED! Have a 1971 BMW R75/5 motorcycle purchased new, continuously licensed and insured. Since my smart arrived, the bike is FOR SALE. I have averaged 100 km/day on the smart since delivery and quickly came to the conclusion that the bike will no longer get used. I'm also getting long in the tooth ... 65 in my ID signifies that my smart was a 65th birthday present to myself. I don't get the kick out of riding that I used to. The smart is like a 4 wheel m/c with weather protection and doesn't require a helmet or special clothing. Its price approximates that of a new BMW or Harley. I am a trumpet-playing member of the Preston Scout House Alumni band, based in Cambridge. My wife and I look after 2 dogs and 3 cats. The dogs are mutts, but are highly trained in several dog sports (my wife's passion). Maintaining a large suburban property and exercising the dogs keeps us healthy. My smart was delivered June 1, 2005. Our other car is a 1999 Saturn SW2 wagon (doggie transport and heavy lifter). Gary Quote

As a former resident of Preston (now Cambridge) I am well aware of the Scout House band, I wasn't aware that there was an Alumni band though..... Quote
