Moving this thread into the General Discussions forum so that it can serve all people from everywhere who have sighted smart cars (rather than have separate threads in each region)!

Vancouver, British Columbia

As Dean and I were on the way home with our new smartie tonight, we saw "SMRT S" (license plate) on 4th, parked at the side. I can't remember whose it was though. Any way, it was great to see a custom plated smartie. Hope we get ours soon.

Vancouver, British Columbia

a few smart car sightings today in Vancouver.

I saw the Protec dental smart car on Georgia Street and Seymour at 3:12 p.m. The art work on the car is a little scary, but it's always great to see a smart car.

There was a silver and red coup? with italo.com and ReMax logos on the tridion shell up on East Hastings close to Burnaby at 3:40 p.m.

While Dean was with me, and I had my eyes focused on the traffic, I unfortunately missed a silver and silver coup? with two girls waving enthusiastically in our direction.

Dean also saw a few smart cars around town today.

Typically we're lucky if we see two smart cars in a day, but I guess now that we are out there cruising with our own, we are bound to run into me more of them.

We were there in a Peugeot 405 over the weekend, and saw a couple on the road, 9 at two dealerships and one near my sister's house in North Delta (Sunshine Hills area). Yes, I got the VINs!

What is it with you Smart car owners. You're just driving the wheels off those cars! The Stream Green in Kamloops went streaming past us, and another Streamer was really hustling out to the ferries. We found her in line, and no, she didn't get a discount.

In Victoria, we spotted 2 more, one parked in a driveway across the street from Broadmead Shopping Centre and another in the lot.

The "I think I can" award goes to the Grey Smart heading up the Coquihalla!

Hmmm, came across TWO red and silver cars today. One car I saw in Agassiz just as I was parked and going for a haircut, and they were heading to Harrison. I went to Harrison after and saw the same car as they were leaving! Too weird. Then I saw a parked red/silver passion coupe with a bike rack in Maple Ridge just ioff the Lougheed near Albion. BTW - Mike - I have another VIN for you.

Well, there is a smart, 1 for sure, in Medicine hat. I have been getting reports of a Red/Black one in The Hat. Today on my way home from work I saw it in another lane stopped at a red light. It was in rush hour traffic, so no way for me to get turned around and give chase. I was A Red/Black Cabrio, with a lady driving. I could not tell if it was a Pure, pulse or Passion. As soon as I have more Info/Pic I will post it right away.

Bud

P.S. There goes my hopes of being the first in Medicine Hat to have a smart car. But I'm in a good possition for top 10. :BlahBlah:

Today we encountered our first "non worthy of a smart car" person. We were driving east on Keating X Road to the Pat Bay and the other half spotted a green one in the rear view mirror so we slid over to the right lane to allow the green one to catch up to us. When they were beside us we looked over and tried to give them the "smart wave" the two ladies then looked straight ahead and ignored us with disgust. I'm sure there are more worthy customers for a smart car than them. I couldn't believe what happened. Smart owners are such nice fun loving people. Well tomorrow is another day.

Mike---- Was it a blue/silver in North Delta. Might have been me.

I remember seeing only one in Sunshine Hills, in a guy's driveway - stream green/silver.

The ones we saw on the road were not blue (too bad, it's one of the best colours).

Are you going to Seattle next weekend?

Driving through Saltair tonight Sandy noticed a stream green coup? in a driveway along Chemainus Road, so being smart-nosy and VIN hungry, we stopped.

I walked up to the door and to my surprise one of my former SFU professors answered! Not only that, he was my former grad program supervisor! His friend owns the smart. So we were invited in for a drink and had a smart chat, exchanged addresses, phone numbers etc and left after an hour!

Of course I referred the smart owner to this site! :bustamove:

An older fellow approached me in Barrie to ask about my smart fortwo, and he sounded fairly knowledgeable in recognizing the brand cars. He said he saw a forfour zooming up to Midland (Ontario). I asked about license plates, thinking it could be a visitor from Mexico, but he said they were Canadian plates.

So, I'm thinking maybe Transport Canada is still running tests. I hope it's a forfour cdi.

I was invited to the Eurasia customer appreciation event in Edmonton and you'll never guess what I saw!... well you probably already have but here are some pictures. I talked to the owner who turned out to be a really nice couple who had it delivered in May. The flames are like a purple vinyl with some airbrushing done on the vinyl. The flames were his wife's idea and the "Hot Wheels" sticker was his. I think it looked great!.
