Go to the SmartUSA website and give them your information and ask for the link to view your configuration. I too did the Clearwater drive. I posted my review on the "Driver reviews at the tours".

I had my first contact with the Smart Car today. The tour came to Clearwater, Florida and I went for my fist drive of the car. I have reserved a Passion but I drove a passion cabriolet. For a convertible it was extremely quiet. I would rather have driven what I was purchasing but so goes life. I was shocked by the "automatic" transmission. I punched the gas and it was like I was driving a standard shift car without shifting or clutching. It was kind of cool as it actually acted like a standard. I even checked to see if my right foot was moving, as I did not depress a clutch pedal. The rep said the US model would have a "P" gear for America. He also said the feel of a standard shit would not be as noticeable on the US model.I ask the rep if this car was a 2007 model and he said no it was a 2008 European model, KM, etc.I asked about the plastic panel under the car and he said he had not heard of nor had any problem with it. (Noted on another area of posting from this site)I asked about the chance of a Cruse Control and he said they have had many requests for it but he did not see that happening. I also mentioned, comments from this forum, concerning the high cost of service on this car. He said, “Well it is a Mercedes manufactured vehicle”. I said it was not actually a Mercedes and I believe many people purchasing this car are not in the same economic class as many of the Mercedes purchasers. Nice kid but like a bobble headed doll and polite. Yes sir, yes sir. I truly love the car and am more anxious than ever now.

Well my boss (wife) allowed me to watch the very very short segment on the Smart Car on the CW. She even watched it. I was somewhat disappointed as it was very short and did not show any interior shots. The 6' 3" guy in the back was impressive though.The crash test with the Mercedes was impressive.The segment was really geared to teenagers, in my opinion.

Now that make sence and explains the price variance.Thanks

I was impressed with the interior (seats) and it looks like there was no human damage. I am really impressed with the cage of the Smart. I watched the video (You Tube) of the crash test in Germany at 70 MPH and WOW. You could not do that with an American car!!!
