  1. $250 OBO. Set of 4 rims in great condition with 3 good tires. Rear tires are Blizzack Winter LM-18 in good shape used only 2 winters. Front tires are ContiWinterContact. One is almost brand new, the other needs replacing. I leased my Smart and it has been returned to the dealer.
  2. 2014 ED with 46,000 kms and no issues except flakey radio. It's leased and going back to MB in 2 weeks. It will be missed. We replaced it with a used 2012 Leaf because MB would not extend the lease until the new models arrived.
  3. The Mississauga Corporate Store has just given me a one month extension on my lease (2014 ED) to accommodate a (maybe) September order date (they hope) on a replacement for my end-of-lease ED. This has taken several weeks to coordinate between the dealer and MB Financial. To extend my lease beyond the 30 day extension into September will be a crazy amount ($430-ish/month) which makes no financial sense at all after the really good lease deal I've had so far. Buying out the lease on the 451 - even though it has been a great car - is also difficult to even consider when the pricing on the 453 simply isn't available yet - and may be delayed even longer. Needless to say at this point, I am looking at all my options to stay electric but it's really complicated. I have 2 Prius' and the Smart ED all to replace in the next few months and I really want to eliminate - or at least greatly reduce - gas comsumption and still accommodate my family's driving needs. When I leased the ED, I was sure it would be easier to replace it and have more options to go all-electric after the 3 year lease was up. Used and off-lease purchase options now are very risky. Resale values on short range electric cars dropped and have now increased again due to the delays and unavailability of new replacements. So buying a used electric car as a hold over until new models come out is probably not going to work out well when the new models do show up. With a Nissan Leaf II announcement only a couple of months away, Bolt and Ioniq reporting delivery dates maybe within the next century, Tesla uncertainty with trim, timelines and pricing, and the elusive and further delayed Prius Prime in Ontario availability, it is really challenging to make any purchase decisions and dealers seem even less informed and mostly more clueless than I am. Does anyone else find themselves in a similar "hopeful" but very indecisive situation? Better still - any suggestions?
  4. Our lease will be up in August. MB corporate has said over the phone they will extend our lease until replacements are available for up to 6 months. They have said there is no pricing available on the 453 ED yet so it's hard to figure out what is going to happen. We had an amazing lease deal which I don't think we will get even close to again (it was the $99/month promotion for the base model). Does anyone know roughly what lease pricing will be like on the 453 ED?
  5. My lease is up in August - I've been worried about the choices I've been hoping for not coming through in time but it looks like the 2017 Smart Electric will make an appearance in time. But now there will be many more distractions with the range of the new Leaf, Bolt & Volt, Prius Prime, Ioniq and a few others coming online with longer range and increasingly better value. It's nice to have choices in the under Tesla price range.
  6. I just had my first service done at the Oakville dealership - great service and we were late getting it in after 18 months and 27,000kms (we were told when we leased it to ignore the wrench and bring it in half way through the lease period - apparently that was not correct). They charged $129.00 all in and they gave us shuttle service.
  7. I am just at 1 year with a leased ED. When we signed, Lucas at MB Mississauga said we did not have to have it serviced over the period of the lease. He is not with MB anymore and I am thinking we should check - we have just under 18,000 kms and 2 more years to go. With Toyota, I am used to getting notifications by email or phone or both for our Prius when it needs attention (I usually take it to a local garage) so I am not sure if we are obligated under the lease do something about this or just wait it out - is anyone smarter than me about this?
  8. It is only the Toronto corporate stores - dealers would be crazy to offer a deal like this...
  9. Yes - depending on loyalty and other discounts, the down payment including dealer charges, freight, and first month payment etc was just south of $2000 for ours - YMMV.
  10. I spoke to MB Toronto corporate today - the $99/month promotion for a 3 year lease (for the base model) is on again now. They have only 16 cars available in Toronto as of this morning. I spoke to Jason who is in charge of Smart sales for the corporate locations. The number is on the website (1-888-886-1694) - I would ask for him directly to set up an appointment if you are interested. We did this last year for 2 Smart Electric Drives (one for me, one for my parents) and it was the best car deal we ever made... (with the dollar so low, it's an even better deal this year!)
  11. Where did you get this deal? I have neighbours and friends who would jump at this lease price...
  12. https://www.smart.com/ca/dealers/smartcenter-toronto/en/index/sales/2015-smart-electric-offer.html Those of us lucky 2014 $99/month lease promotion drivers should feel really good right now!
  13. A few years ago, we discovered the benefits of tinted windows in the hot summer. It makes sense in the Smart electric to reduce the need for the air conditioner. Our Smart Electric is leased so I am wondering if there is an issue with window tinting and if we will need to have it removed before returning the car. Also, is there some place anyone can recommend that will pro-rate tinting for half a car? Most prices are based on a regular passenger car with a lot more window space to cover...
  14. Seems to be good now... hope hey leave it alone at least till it warms up!
  15. My car finally started to respond again. Pre-heating worked yesterday for the first time this year. Looks like it's syncing again today. Fingers crossed.
