  1. I will monitor my scangauge closely , while trying to keep an eye on the road from time to time sometimes, not very often, i hear a fan running for 10 to 15 seconds after shutting down the engine, but not necessarily on the hottest days or longest runs. any thoughts ?
  2. IAT of 65C even 80C.... if the fan is running how is it possible to reach such high temperatures ? it s almost the same temp as the coolant.
  3. Just like in Ontario, it`s hot here in Quebec those days. At work my car sits in the sun all morning and when i start it to go to lunch the intercooler fan goes on right away. I see almost 100 fahrenheit IAT on my newly installed scangauge at startup. Note that I took care to install my scangauge with a non-can cable as recommended by Mike T.
  4. this is not a scan gauge, it's the temperature displayed in the cluster. at each press of the button you switch between the odometer, the trip odometer, and the outside temp. bizzare because everything else is metric , speed is in kilometers and the odometer too. this is not a big deal, i was just curious…
  5. Hi everyone, my outside temperature sensor is displaying in fahrenheit !! i'm i the only one ? is there a way to switch to celsius ? i own a 2006 passion cdi
  6. i want to say hi to everybody cause i'm a new here. i'm a french guy from Montreal so my English may not be perfect… i own a 2006 passion cdi and last weakend i replaced my starter using Tolsen's subframe lowering method with wood posts. that was not an easy job. i would like to add a restrictor plug in the V piece above the water pump to increase heat but it seems that it's too late to order one from Tolsen. is it possible to find a used one somewhere ? or someone may have one that he didn't install ? and want to sell it … by the way i'm a mechanic so i can do a lot of repairs myself. the SMART is a very "unique" vehicule so sites like yours or Evilution are a gold mine of informations…so i want to thank you all.
