  1. I have found that it is rarely necessary to use Star to do a 451.

It has always worked for me by moving it till it touches then push it in three marks on the actuator. The puts it correct and provided nothing else is wrong it will work properly.

It can be taught, if necessary, with a delphi DS150. If you have a laptop they cost about £40 or so from ebay or aliexpress.

@Stickman007 Izzy, sorry to reach you on a random thread but I am trying to find one of these turbo main hoses for a 2015 fourtwo .8L diesel.  The dealership can't find the part number and sent me a wrong 200 buck exact copy part that was 1/4 the diameter needed.  I would take one from you direct or the proper part number. 604-780-7135 is my cell for text/calling.  Thanks!

Perfect IF you are close to everything you need to live and do not travel far or want to travel any real distances.  IMHO....?

If you have functional ones then legs are better.

Do you have the Citroen Ami over there on the wrong side of the pond?

  4. The resistance of a solenoid does not vary with the location of the central bar.

If you have a resistance that varies with the position then you are probably right. There must be a wiper of some sort in there that detects how far open it is.

Does it have three connections? If so then I assume then that the 8.2 ohms is the coil and the 3.7 kohms is the output. Is that right?

You may be able to clean it successfully if there is dirt on the potentiometer inside the solenoid but you need to be careful, the wipers on such things are fragile and once bent they will never be right again.

  5. I don't know where you read that you had to do something with the handbrake. It comes out when you drop the subframe, the only thing you have to do is to make sure the handbrake is off when you drop it. When putting it back you have to make sure the tab goes into the right place, it can fall to one side and you have to drop the subframe again to get it right if it does that.

  6. Hmm.

When you say no voltage at the starter do you mean no start signal or no voltage? Thick wire or thin wire.

On the right side of the engine under where you pour oil in there is an earth cable between the tridion and the engine. Check that. I don't mean just look at it, pull it and rive it and possibly take it off and replace it anyway because they are proper shite.
