Fuel lift pump = the in-tank pump that supplies fuel to the high pressure pump driven by the camshaft. The N11-3 plug has its feed running through it and any heat damage on that pin (or the low beam pins) means you need to install external relays in those circuits before the circuit goes completely dead. The two melted ones in the centre are the low beams and the one third from the right is the fuel lift pump. I replaced this connector. This is the SAM that was changed and I have in reserve now, with a melted fuel lift pump pin on the N11-3 connector. This is the second SAM, where the two low beam circuit pins show heat damage. This one was recoverable and a new brown plug took care of the problem, combined with the mounting of external relays for the low beam circuits in order to take the amperage out of the SAM.

Good day your way Long time owner (purchased our Diesel fortwo 450 brand new 2005 in Saskatchewan) We have recently been struggling with what I've assumed for now is a fuel issue. Would you mind sharing a little clarity of the "fuel lift pump" I have not come across any data on this are we talking about fuel pump? -
