Yeah I've seen that happen to an Ioniq5 in BC. A ding in the floor causing warranty to be cancelled and a writeoff.   Luckily for me, M-B PHEVs have their batteries above the rear drive axle.

I changed the RF wheel bearing for Julia on Sunday. Wow was the old one noisy! Then today it threw another CEL. She checked the code: P0302. Car has just hit 200,000 km.
