Attention loyal fans of “Thoughts for the Day” thread.  I’ve not made the daily entries recently due to medical issues.  This record will likely remain unchanged heading into October as I’m undergoing a full hip replacement in 4 days (Monday Sept 28).  Expectation is a 4-to-5 day hospital stay, as surgery involves removal of titanium rod, 2 bolts and 2 screws installed 14 months ago, due to a fall at home.  My healing has not tracked well, necessitating a full hip joint replacement.  I encourage any and all to post your thoughts, ideas, feelings, quotes, etc to this thread.  It can be a very cathartic experience. I hope to be back at a consistent pace in a couple of.weeks.

Ask Izzy (stickman007) he had some parts car and may have a good used one.  Some of us used a SPAL fan but I don’t remember the part number and the original brack had to be modified like it says toward the end of this thread.      

My charge air cooler fan is on death's door and I don't see replacements for sale anywhere. Is there a known path to refurbish the bearings in these? Anybody have a secret source that I'm not turning up in the usual searches? Am I limited to finding a used part for a replacement?   Edit: I should add that the part number I'm looking for appears to be Q0003127V010000000.
