Replacement Exhaust System

Anyone tell me if any replacement exhaust can be used/modified to be installed on an 05 cdi? does the stock one have the cat converter inside?Cant afford to pay the price for a new one and even the used ones I have found are still up there in cost.Thanks

Yes, the cat is inside. Do a search there are alternatives available...

How bad of shape is your old one? The typical problem is the seam breaking loose because of corrosion; but a fair number of people (including myself) have managed to weld the muffler back together. It's a lot cheaper doing that than getting any form of replacement. Even if you don't have the equipment/skill to do it yourself, you might check around and see if someone can do it for you.

Just noticed Fast eddie has a used one for 250 Alan

there is a decent crack in the manifold and alot of the exhaust is rusted. Was going to weld it together, just afraid of it cracking somewhere else etc.
